I once made a film based on letters I found in a shoebox in the attic of an historic house museum where I was employed as curator. My first novel A Certain Kind of Freedom was a Finalist in the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia Atlantic Writing Awards for unpublished manuscripts. I've recently completed the first three books of my Drifters series, and I'm working on the fourth. I can't let these characters go, I love them! To me, they are friends who simply live in another town.

I live with my partner Stephen and a cuddly striped cat named Oliver (Lucy Maud Montgomery once said the only good cat is a striped cat) in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada. I make frequent trips to Vancouver to visit my Singer - Songwriter / Barista son Christopher (he makes the best macchiato on the planet).
